Yes, to free up lag and so the servers won't be full. Oldest is Bismarck, then POW, then Iowa. Hence, lowest levels in Iowa.

Except that you have to start a brand new crew when you move to a never-before played server.

It's to prevent massive un-balance and farming of n00bs.

Not really, because YOU'll be the n00b being farmed.

Auto is ok if you're a DD/FF and is changeing range all the time, but once you get the CL you really should learn manual, which is a must for playing the Atlanta and its remodels, whose guns main advantage is Highangling (refer to the FAQ thread for more info)

Ok, the loading bug only occures the first time youload the game after you start up your computer. So, during the first reload, esc to windows while it's loading. After a while, if the Password screen music doesn't play (you'll still hear it even if you're at the desktop), then that means it froze. Press ctrl alt del to bring up the task manager, from which you can end navyfield. Since the first time load is now done, you can start NF regularly and it should be no problem.

Kenny, you really need to think hard about your decision to go IJN. Its a REAL challenge to play well. Unless you want to be a TW.....which is a dead end btw....you will be faced with a brutal grind between Tsukikei DD and the Mogami CL. The Agano CL is a total piece of junk and is only useful for upgrading to the Oyodo CV, or giving others experience sinking you!

Once you get to Mogami CL you will face a new challenge. Fighting with a ship that cant hold any significant amounts of armour and has crappy low range guns to start with is hard on the nerves. Once it lvl's up a bit and you can get the 7.9" guns you will do fine. But, you have to learn 2 things, fight at extreme range and speed is life....NO ARMOUR!

After this ship, you have some choices, go CV line or gunline to either Myoko or Mogami CA. Mogami CA is better but is a lvl 51 ship, Myoko is lvl 47.

If you choose the gun line the fun is over, you are about to be a Kongo BB, food for every ship on the server....fun. If you can be good in a Kongo, you can be good in anything. There are those who are good in it, but its much like the Mogami CL at the beginning, crappy guns and no armour, speed is king......which would be ok except for one small detail....you arent fast.

My advice....go British. Roll some 10/10 gunners or better yet, 11 accuracy gunners ( 11/10 ) and go crazy. About the time you are stuggling in a Myoko or Mogami CA you will be a very powerful York CA, and you will eat almost every CA for lunch. York is slow, but it can blockshot at gold and almost block at 4 bar, with the added bonus of armour.

Well, I wouldnt say the Japs arent useless, a friend of mine on Bismark has a Lvl 51+ Mogami crew...
He does well in it.

But if you go brit, be prepared to be ranged the rest of your career, until you get RP12s, even then, that doesnt last long...

I do well in my mog too, trouble is I have nothing to look forward to for a while lol, Im going mog ca shortly which will be fine. After that is the absolutely horrible Kongo, followed by either slow ship Ise or Fuso. Only after that comes the other good ship for the Japs, the Nagato. The Yam, from what I have heard, is a bit of a letdown.
