I'm just starting on Dragon's 1/350 U.S.S. Laffey DD-459. I use WEM Colourcoat enamels almost exclusively. Dragon's instructions unfortunately do not list WEM colors and I've had little luck trying to find the correct colors using the paint conversion chart I have.
Does anybody know the correct colors in WEM's line for the upper hull and superstructure? The instructions call for "Navy Blue" in the Model Master line. My thinking is something along the lines of WEM's Thayer Blue, but that is just a guess. Anybody know for sure?
Thanks in advance.
Bob

Overall Navy Blue with Deck Blue decks and turret tops. No Thayer Blue...

WEM has a Navy blue, that's what they should be matched to.

Re: U.S.S. Laffey DD-459 color question
Thanks, Martin & Tracey. I did subsequently find WEM's Navy Blue. When I looked in my paint stock, which is almost entirely WEM Colourcoats, I didn't see any and checked with the vendors I usually get my paint from and I was surprised to find that every vendor I checked was out. Even WEM's site was showing out of stock. But, I went back and double checked tonight and low and behold, found three cans! So, Laffey is good to go.
Thanks for all your help.

You're lucky; WEM's been having production problems with some of their colors (I think deck blue too?)
