Here we are, too:

The Admiral Class of 1885 building programm was the very first step to what in in Germany is called the standard ship-of-the-line with a pair of twin or single main artillery and a enlaging number of light and middle class artillery.

HMS Benbow

When I get my Jane's Fighting Ships 1906/07 edition I'll start a first modell of one of her.

Have fun!

edit:
...in the 1905 Edition in libary of the Military Sience Office in Potsdam there was a drawing of AdmiralCLass but in my edition only a Note is made that they still on the fleet. :Mad_6:

Gorg,
try to get your hands on "Ship Modelling Solutions" by Brian King. It contains a number of pictures and sketches of Brian King's large scale model of an Admiral class battleship as well as lot of other tips and tricks. I have rather extensive admiral class file at home which I accumulated while googling over the past few years when I was considering a scratchbuilt of HMS Victoria (so Camperdown was of some interest....). PM me you email adress if you're interested in drawings. And if nothing else, please be careful when using Jane's as a drawing source.

I concur! While they are not by any means beautiful ships, they look very workmanlike, and have an important place in the development of the battleship.

Yours,
