CAD model inspirations

Post by DrPR »

Joe Ed Loe has been a source of inspiration for me for 3D CAD ship modeling. If you haven't seen his "Mechanisms of Imperial Japanese Warships in 3D" website, give it a look:

His models of DD IJN Akizuki and CA IJN Tone are beautiful.

Alexey Burdin in Russia has been working on a CAD model of the USS Slater DE-766. His work is a masterpiece! Like me, Alexey is a nut and bolt counter. Unfortunately I do not have a link to his work.

These two fellows showed me the way and encouraged me to attempt an historically correct, accurate as possible, model of the USS Oklahoma City CLG-5. So, if you think I am crazy, blame them!

Join the club. Everyone thinks I'm crazy.

Your work is just as nice. I think the Buffalo Historic Park opens this month so I can get another look at the USS Little Rock CLG-4.
