Hi!
I'm looking for good reference books on the WWII USS Missouri/Iowa-class and the WWII USS Yorktown/Essex-class!
Already in my posession: Pictorial Histories' USS Missouri and USS Yorktown, both by Sumrall.
Since I like the USS Missouri book by Sumrall I was thinking of looking for the Iowa-class book by the same author... Is this the best reference book on the subject (USS Missouri in WWII!) or should I look for a better one?
For the reference book on the Essex-class I'm thinking of the Essex class carriers book by Alan Raven or the Essex class carriers of WWII by Arnold... Which is the best one for a WWII Yorktown or are there other books to consider?
Thanks very much for replying!!!

Ok, no problem!
Was just looking for a quick answer to a quick question!
If I get around to it I will certainly read the threads you gave me!
Thanks!!!

I just recently got this (along with the similar book by the same publisher), on the Iowa, and I think they're quite excellent. Hard to beat the Floating Drydock stuff though.
