Looking at some of the listings the 350 PE fret is slightly different from the 700 PE fret, so I would asumme there actually is a 700 kit. There are also a few other differences like the 700 Bofors being printed as one part.

It's also being sold by VF's official Taobao FWIW.

I saw a notice on the HLJ website* that the 1/350 scale THE SULLIVANS (DD-537) in WWII configuration (Anti-Kamikaze configuration and MAYBE the five twin 40-mm mounts configuration in one box was mentioned, but parts layout doesn't confirm this) was released at the end of August 2026. Some retail sources estimate availability in October 2026.

Stevens was reviewed right here in MW back in March: https://www.modelwarships.com/reviews/s ... _65308.htm

Reposting from the CASF, as the post (IMO) belongs on this thread as well.

Pre-orders of the USS Langley (CV-1) in 1/700 scale. The site indicates that the tentative release month is this coming November.

Does anyone know of any US retailers also offering pre-orders?

Hey, the new 1/350 scale FLETCHER kits from iLove arrived at my house from Squadron (pre-ordered) today. Squadron made no announcement online that these kits had arrived.

They look much like the USS STEVENS kit in basic hull and bridge details. The aft deckhouses are different from STEVENS as to be expected.

This kit has the over scaled "armor-belt" on the full hull only option, like seen on the STEVENS kit. I'm going to use now surplus Trumpeter waterline hulls, which the iLove decks fit with little trim at the fantail, on my builds.

Agree, I mentioned it above then went back to the list and noticed several more 1/350 kits missing.
Who is in a position to update the list?

Yes, they're the same moulds.

A minor update to the list, The Takom Moskva has been released, I have one.
A box art for a 1/350 1990s USS Midway has been completed and even though Trumpeter has not mentioned anything I can assume that they are the manufacturers.
Last, can we finally put Dragon to rest and list the unreleased kits as "shelved"?

One more add and then I'll call it good, since I think we just got a nudge to get back to the original topic: regardless of whether it's a human being sitting down for umpteen-bazillion hours with a CAD program or using AI to develop the design, it still requires the proprietor of whatever operation to invest the time into creating whatever it is that's been requested. Unless money has changed hands up front, the designer/proprietor doesn't know if all that effort will result in a sale. Even if it's only one sale, that's not going to be enough to compensate for all the hours that went into development, hours that the designer will never get back.

I can't speak for Steve at Model Monkey, but I know that any given one of my days will involve my day job (even if I'm not physically there, it's always something), tending to things that need doing here, running whatever errands may be required, not to mention the ordinary human stuff we all have to do. Then there's the unexpected things that pop up that also demand our attention. All of this leaves less time for the things I want to do, and when I do have those moments, I want time for what I want to do. Otherwise, it's just more work. I haven't done 3D design, but I've done huge decal art projects for screen printing, and I found it worthwhile only because I did subjects I was personally interested in. If labors of love like those were enough to leave me exhausted, I'd hate to imagine having to design something that was outside my realm, as some folks sometimes suggested.

I've dabbled in the cottage industry enough to know that it got old in a hurry, and to realize I don't have the patience to put up with some customers or with the people who suggest what I should do next. My hat is off to people like Steve who have the patience and good humor to endure what goes with putting your wares out in the world, and I respect the daylights out of the boundaries that he's established around what he does.
