there are problems with that model, bilge keels are in wrong location & to big, the skeg does not look right. look at these pictures for possible more issues. are the red area supposed to represent hull openings?

The red blocks are located where openings should be yes.
I don't want to jump the gun here, because that's clearly still a work in progress and subject to change / refinement, but the stern where the hull curves above the rudder and props looks rough.

the island's sponson is to low as should be level with the bottom of the aircraft/boat crane sponson other words between the 2 decks of port holes not covering the 4 port holes the cad shows. also the aft end of the flight deck should be rounded as in a ramp not flat like the rest of the flight deck, look at the plan & stern picture.

They are usually responsive if you message them on FB. If you are on FB, share your thoughts with them, while there may be time to make changes.

attempted to signup with fb but they wanted a short video of me but as I do not have a smart phone nor a camera attached to my computer, I cannot complete signup. says I can send a picture instead of video but instructions was for video so again cannot complete signup.
I think I found the email for triumph models in china as it mentions the unicorn when doing a search on the net so emailed them about possible problems with the cad & included a link to this thread so it is wait & see.

This is tempting, if I could afford that. I live right down the road from Earle NWS in New Jersey, and at least two of the Kaiser class are based out of there. Maybe the 1/1200 option, I can still see and work that small for now.

Triumph / Ostrich announced their 1/700 USS Arizona is to be released in October. As usual, both waterline and full hull options (TM70016WL and TM70016FH). Plus a dedicated upgrade pack (TM70016UP).

And according to their post "...the next USS battleship may be Nevada..."

there are at least 3 issues with the Arizona model.
1: radar was never installed on that ship but was being prepped for it at the time of the attack.
2: the quad 1.1" gun tubs & associated directors tubs were empty at the time of the attack.
3: the hull plating is overscaled at that scale as should be smooth.

3) Most of any stuff of any kit is overscale in 1/700

Taskforce48, thank you for the news of a 1/350 Triumph Models 2027 release of a 1945 USS Phelps DD-360. Many years ago I purchased the 1/350 ISW kit 4-077 USS Moffett DD-362, with aspirations to modify Moffett to Phelps in the way that Dave Becker, Bob Cicconi, and Felix Bustelo displayed in ModelWarships. I never completed the make-over, but I've found the partially-rebuilt ISW kit in the stash. I'll purchase the Triumph kit next year and try to finish the job.
