CV-4 or CV-7

Post by Rob Weilacher »

I need a reference recommendation for CV-4 Ranger and CV-7 Wasp. I am planning to build my 1/700 Corsair Armada kits of these finally.

Thanks,
Rob

I recommend for a start, the Profile Morskie Wasp book.

Tougher call for Ranger--Cressman's book is quite good, but I found it to be not much help for my own model. I bought some "plans" of the ship from a vendor on eBay, but they were rather crude and only featured one profile and plan view, with no hull stations.

By the way, I commend you on your choices! These ships never got much recognition for their contributions to the war, but were nevertheless important to the allied Med campaigns.

Dan,

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I thought that was going to be the answer, but I figured I'd fish around and see if anyone had any ideas. Much appreciated.
