Thanks Devin. but I have to tell you. With this nasty beat up Russian tank boat all it will do is make it look more authentic! LOL!!

That video reminded me why I haven't built any R/C boats. Every time it got near the edge of the pool I'd cringe and say "don't hit it! You'll scuff paint and pop rivets!!!"
Impressive work across the board.

Thats the thing with r/c, if we smash them, we just rebuild them, no problem.
Simple but effective.

What ever you do Devin don't try RC planes if this bothers you! LOL!
Yes we rebuild those too. Well sometimes. More than half the reason I started building RC subs and ships is you always seem to bring them home. With an RC plane or jet there's a one in ten chance or better that you bring home a kit in a trash bag.

That must be where it comes from. I started flying R/C when I was seven years old. I never did get a cool scale aircraft to fly, though, before the military and life in general took me away from the hobby. Maybe someday.U812 wrote:What ever you do Devin don't try RC planes if this bothers you! LOL!

Steve's been quite busy the past week but has finished his BK.
It sits on the waterline perfectly without need for ballasting & kicks up a wake with that tunnel drive just like the real Bronkater.
As you can see from these photos, he's done an excellent job on this build!

Hi
I am doing research on the Russian Armoured Motorboat 1124 and just came accross your build which will help me alot . I received plans from Russia on the 1124's which had different hulls and carried two turretts .The plans show four different turretts that were used on these boats .They are T-35A,T-28,6T7A and T-34 .I will be doing a static model in 1/35 scale so I can use the T-28 turretts from the AER-015 T-28 kit .
My proublem is I can not find any photo's of the 1124.Did you find any books on the 1124 and 1125 ? If so could you recommend were I can purchase it ?
Vert nice job on the 1125 .
Richard

Re: 1/25 Russian armored patrol boat Bronekater BK 1125 (WWII)
Back in around '90 I built a 1/35th BK1125 from a 2 way drawing, I had to guess the dimensions etc from photos in a Soviet Navy book published (I think) by arms & armour press. The same book yeilded a G5 and BK1124 ( see pic
)
As you can see the accuracy was very poor but we were pre-internet!
Maybe I'll have another go now that I can get some real data and images that are more than blurs!

Re: 1/25 Russian armored patrol boat Bronekater BK 1125 (WWII)
I'll get those plans
Actually, when I think about it, the twin T-28 turret version in the pic is supposed to be the BK1124, but she's too big. The turrets were bought (along with the rest of the tanks
) in St Petersburg in '94, so I guess she's nearly 15 years old, she still gets an outing on occasion.
This pic is the only one of both BKs I can find on this computer.
