Grats on finishing that beastie - take it to next year's nats and show the world what a *real* ship is supposed to look like...
I spent yesterday's modelling hour splitting off the lower hull from my Dragon Ticonderoga (actually it says Normandy on the box, but it's still a Tico...). Luckily it came off easy enough once I made it through the seam in one place, and the upper hull rests flat on the table with no warpage or missing bits. Yay me, now all my 1/700s are waterline models. I don't think I'll remove the lower hull on my Reagan, though - the bulbous bow is one of the major differences between her and the rest of the class, and besides, she's 1/720, and the only other 720 I've got is full-hull only. (it remains to be seen whether I'll finish that beastie, though - it's the very old LHA from Revell, with the huge masts and all. Ugh.)
Other than that, building has been slooooow, since I've been suffering from a caffeine-abstinence-induced headache for a couple of days. Going cold turkey on Cola is not working out for me...
