Most impressive! It's so detailed that it makes it hard to believe the scale is 1:400.

Per il Bremen potresti partire dalla base di quelle in cartoncino:

Splendid work! Great entity, everything seems very "finished"; weather subtile and not too much, excellent colouring and of course nice structural work too! A museum piece which covers the working life of a merchant ship very well! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Hello bento,

very well made model. My father is interested in building the Pinguin for a famous German Naval museum. Do you know by any chance where to get a more detailed plan (especially the sheer plan / profile). Could he call you, since he has no internet and is more interested in ships than computers (maybe a wise choice?).

Greetings from Bremerhaven, Germany

Hi, thank you so much for your reply and your offer to send the plan. My mail address is

flickoliver@gmx.de

It will take a while (1/100 scale!) but my father will post the pictures as soon as he is done.

Greetings from Germany

I know this thread is old but I have a question about painting decks. It appears the model was constructed raw, with the vertical posts connecting decks. Later shots reveal a cleanly painted deck. How does one paint around those small vertical bits of plastic? It would seem to me that airbrushing would be difficult, due to the need to carefully mask the deck and the obstruction of the posts to the spray pattern of the paint. Were the decks hand painted?

Thanks!
