i'm quite disappointed...it's not legal hiring extradwarven 1/350 workers to build in 1:1 scale what for us is in 1:350.

:D:D

your work is something between the masterpiece and the insane.
can i suggest using an extra thin needle or a lenght of burned copper wire for the barrels of your 20mm?
this can help in keeping section and dimensions regular and prevents any possible warpage.

keep updating, as i keep whatching your work with interest!

Thank you for your kind comments
I started mounting the 20mm guns by the conical guns mounts (four parts for each)

Image

as I'm only twenty guns mounts for my version(1952) of Richelieu (against fifty in 1943),I can afford the detailing of the guns of 20mm.The PE of l'Arsenal is very good for the scale ,but ,I'll try to give volume to the guns
My first try (in white ,mine...)

Image

And to better realize, one of each on a gun mount

l'Arsenal

Image

mine

Image

and to better realize of the scale

Do not hesitate, if you have an opinion on the subject(redo them or not)

Hello gents

Joss a big thank you for the tip, I will study the problem
I realized that I forgot to "treat" an area on my model! Indeed, two gateways(moulded full by trumpy) in grating are in the middle of the barbette of turret B

Image

The grating is realized with a plank of PE from larsenal, cut with a Olfa tool

Image

the gussets is cut in the plastic card

Image

and glued on the barbette

Image

that's how I realized that Trumpy had still made an error. On the shelter ,on front the turret B, on the port side ,Trumpy represents the openings for the air vents, which is false!

Image

Look

Image
Image
Image

So, I cover with mastic!!!!

above the gateways, there are handrails and of fastening systems for the tarpaulins

Image

My view of things

Image

and just like that , pictures of the bow "almost" finished

Hi everybody's

Thank you Jef, for your send in french :wave_1:
the last parts casting in resin ,the capstans, sprockets and the gun of 90 for firing reduced

Image

The 90 in place ,I still the platforms has casting

Image

Then comes the turn of 100 guns, in order, the "mantelet" (in french), gun mount, and the guns

Image

the all assembled (the shield going to follow)
Image

I added a platform, on the range finder of the 380 (red arrow)the washer is used for centering the rangefinder which is above

Image

the gussets are added below(black arrow)

the range finder of 152 is instaled,on the top ,the washer ,is the remnant of the third rangefinder who was in the original configuration(which was filed for passing under the Brooklyn Bridge!)
the original configuration(just like that)

Image

for to continue my work,I need documentation on the rectangular radar (red arrow)

Image

it is of English origin, but I do not know his name!!if a kind soul ,can help me (photo,drawings,....)I am blocked!!!

thank you in advance

best regards

That's a type 284 Gunnery Radar...

Image
Image

These are great shots of the entire antenna which was usually covered in canvas (or some other material?) to make life easier on the modeler. You almost always see the radar as on your image and rarely as above.

Image

Image

Covered!

I made a simple one from half-round styrene and strip

HI gents

I began the final work, so now I take my time to not "crash the job", especially as I work on parts house, the PE available(l'arsenal ,flyhawk) is not necessarily suitable, therefore I built with " of basic material" the railing, ladders, and of nerves of replacement ........
to start the fire control system of 152
Image

Image

on the picture ,lacks the radars 285 they will be installed later
Then comes the fire control system of 380

Image

Image

the, it lacks two ladders (which gives access to the small platforms) their location is unclear, but they can be made later without problem
on the front, the supports of radar 284P
I also start the main mast

Image

a house mix ,evergren and PE

and just like that , the fire control system assembled and finished at 80% and as usual an idea of ??the size of the whole with the 1cts piece

Image

Image

if there are things " awry " is that it's just temporarily assembled !
do not hesitate to give me your opinion
to follow, the end of the main mast, other resin parts, and full of things!
best regards
nicolas

Nicolas, it looks like you know what you are doing and you're good at it. Although I have no idea what all those parts are used for, it looks fantastic.

Cheers
