Hello gent's

This is a particular part

except, that is to the insulator of the output of antennas, this is especially, this is the last part that I was making on the castle :woo_hoo:
the mounting of castle is almost finished (remains antennas and cables of the charging mast)
I attack in the next few days finishing the hull ,who said "it's not too early"?

Hi Nicolas,
I have checked out your build a couple times. This is the first time I comment on it. I don't know anything about the ship you're building, except that your work is amazing!!!!!!!! :thumbs_up_1: :cool_2: My eyes are not good enough to work in the small scales and I do not like to work with magnifying glasses or eye loupes. That's the main reason I build in the larger scales!!!!!!!! I also love to build things that work and move R/C allows me that type of capability.

I think you would do an excellent job :woo_hoo: building a 1/96 scale ship of any type. 1/96 scale is the best because there are many fittings and fiberglass hulls available. I urge you to build a 1/96 scale RC ship of your choosing, you will be glad you did!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cool_2: :cool_2:

I had to come back to check out your build to get a dose of inspiration. Your ability to work with the tiniest of details is mind blowing. :worship_1:

Thank you for your kind comments , that really touches me :wave_1:
Roger ,I like the large scale ! but ,I am afraid of becoming "crazy" I try to put the exact number of rivets :smallsmile:I prefer to follow your admirable work :thumbs_up_1:

I think in terms of ability to work, you have a big dose

I assembled the latest details on the turrets of rangefinders

which gives this appearance at the castle

I still the molding of projectors,I will install cables of the mast load and wire antennas
but,I will attack the finishing of the hull

I know what you're saying, the bigger the size the more detail you can add. Some people are rivet counters!!!!!!! I plan on adding detail and I am very interested in an accurate build, but the small detail like rivets have no place on the Bennett. She will look good and perform well on the water and most of all I plan on having a lot of fun with her and make new friends out at the pond. :woo_hoo:

Hi Nicolas,

it would be fine to see a "how to" for building all the small and highly detailed parts you have made :thumbs_up_1:
Cheers,
Christian

Hello all

continued work on the "R 52" on the turrets,it is the final models ,the first test went wrong (deformation of the roof of the turret)

Image

in first on the "A" turret ,suppression of the periscope and the observation"episcope" (black arrows)

Image

I redid "tubs" of 20mm because those of trumpy are falses

Image

under of tubs ,make of reinforcements ,they give the good level once installed on the turrets roof

Image

as my habit,I glue my parts prepared on the masking tape, but for the bollards,fairleads,....,I give him the form of a ship

Image

much easier for getting together later

see you soon

You make a good point in that last picture, Le Bosco. I often cut all the small items from their sprue and attach them to a piece of card, ready for spraying. Come the day I want to attach them to the hull, I can`t for the life of me remember which part is numbered what.

I write the part number on the card next to the part, but even then I overspray the number sometimes. Yours seems like an excellent idea.

Regards, Dave.

I just had to glue them to the hull to make the hull look like a ship!

Thats a very good Idea, but I spray them on the spru and fix as early as possible, so as not to lose them.
With the wood decks comeing thick and fast, you can put thease items on before placeing the decks.

But if your scratch building then thats another issue lol  .
Nice going Nicolas. :thumbs_up_1:

hello all

I am glad my "trick" can help  pics of work final on the turrets .
Adding access doors in the rear of the turrets

Image
Image

the turrets just before the paint ,they are equipped with platforms of 90mm, ladders and handrails

Image
Image

they tubes of380 and the 90mm guns are ready for painting

Image

the blast bags are already painted

Image

the final result

Image

Image

Image

and in place( tentatively)

Image

it was important for me to achieve correctly,in fact ,I think that they give their a aggressive air a warship

see you soon for the new advances
Cheers

Hi Nicolas,
The scale shipyard (www.scaleshipyard.com) is working on a 1/96 scale of the FNS Richelieu. :woo_hoo: I'm not sure when it will be available, but you should check it out and consider building the "Big One" :cool_2: that you can RC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbs_up_1: :woo_hoo:
