HMS Jupiter

Post by Sutho »

Does anyone know if this is a correct pattern that Jupiter ever wore

Image

I cant find any photographic evidence of the ship in this pattern and am keen to know how it was painted when the ship was part of Force Z.

Not quite. Looks like she wore a modified version of the pattern shown on page 122 of Langtree's book (dark panel at stern and no flotilla bands).

This photo was taken in the Singapore area late 41 or early 42.

Thanks for that. I am not having much luck with that ship. Was thinking of modeling WEM's Janus as this ship for Force Z but looks like I will just have to stick to Janus. What books do you recommend for camoflauge patterns. I have the Raven books volumes 1, 3 and 4 but missed out on 2 as it is out of stock. Its really frustrating because I am keen to make a HMS Howe in its suez canal photo but have had no luck getting its pattern.
