So I thought it would be fun to have a spot where we can come "back to earth" and proudly proclaim our imperfect human nature with our worst ships that still have a place on our display shelves for whatever reason.
Here's my "black sheep":
I think I've crapped out turds that are closer in accuracy to the real thing than what Revell managed with their 90's vintage 1/400 Typhoon. I'm not sure what possessed me to build it, but here is in it's glorious unaltered, clown-nosed form.
Minus paint dry time, this one took me maybe 2 hours to build. The only reason I still have it on my display shelf is because I built it a long time ago and my kids have thus far been unable to break it. The "weathering" is a complex process involving carefully sitting and collecting dust for 10 years. The half-peeled off depth marker decals give it special touch too.
