.do you paint the whole thing, then after its dry, do you mask the deck part to paint the other stuff on it? Or how?

I always start with deck details first. Complete one color, wrap the detail in tape and do the next until all details are complete and masked. Then do the deck colors. I think this gives a very clean application.(a littls time consuming)
