Complete all mantelets near AA-guns
First test install of main superstructure without glue.
joints between deck and superstructure aren't good

Did you make the rolled up canvas for splinter protection, or purchase it from somewhere?

Looks good to me. The gaps can be reduced.

I hope you don't mind the question.
But do you have any tips on how to bent the individual steps of those little PE stairs?

I mean the ones like part 17 on the following picture (first fret):

They are so tiny, the only feasible way seems to bend them on the fret. But then it becomes way harder to remove the part from the fret (without deforming) and to fold the handrails. Bending the stairs after removing the part from the fret, seems pretty much impossible.

First of all, I tried to bend PE ladders in 1/350 scale and bend steps.
Then - tried to bend in 1/700 scale

You need fine Tamiya forceps like 74047 or 74048
At first you need to bend handrails at ladders
Then you can bend steps. From bottom to top, or from top to bottom. As you like

You can sharpen the tips of the forceps and make them more thin to bend the steps.

Wash main superstructure and make windows (using Microscale Liquid Decal Film) at forward bridges

Make imitation of tarpaulins from Polyvinyl acetate glue and paint it
Wash directors, AA-guns, searchlights

Install main superstructure on the hull
Install all directors, 12mm AA-guns, small searchlights, binoculars and other equipment at the bridge
