I use automotive body putty such as Bondo.

I also use Mr Surfacer for minor filling.

Then I use nail polish remover if I can get into the area with filler to smooth once dried. Otherwise wet sandpaper.

I've tried a whole bunch of stuff including spackling compound. The best, so far is Vallejo's Plastic Putty. It's water based which makes clean up very easy. It comes in a tube with an elongated nozzle which makes crack filling a breeze. Best clean up tool, my finger, or a slightly damp Q-tip, it's fast drying and sands easily.

As far as sanding goes: I would not use any electrical tools :smallsmile:
