Huge work done since I last check.

You are adding different barrels to the 5in guns? Or leaving the stumps in place? I think thats the only thing that harkens back the model to its Revell past. Easy to fix also probably?

actually the 5" guns are 3D printed, they are delivered without the barrels (to me its not cool to deliver incomplete pieces, barrels should be delivered with it, on top the surface is big time rippled and you have the choice to or leave it look like an old mans skin, or clean it but eliminating certain details as the ripples are as thick as the details, so... I'm not pleased/convinced with 3D printings) I used steel wire for barrels... and ... they will remain that way, no longer easy changing and making barrels that are a little conical....lets say its not easy in 1/535... but its ok that way...there is so much on the ship now it will be almost invisible... unless for a specialist like you :wink_1:

I've been following your build. A really superb effort on that old kit. Looks like a real Iowa now.

Amazing work from what you started with! I have a soft spot in my heart for these types of projects. Best of wishes on the move and hope that the fleet arrives at its new port safely!

Very nicely done. The props look excellent. Did you scratch build or 3D print them?
