Correction set!

Post by Pontosmodel »

Hi,
As we've stated at this thread, we designed and started to supply Correction set to our customers and dealers.
This set consists of small PE fret and A4 size Correction instruction manual.
Anyone who has 23001F1/22001F1/20001WD1 set is recommend to get this correction set.

Image
And here are the Correction manual pages printed and included at this set.
http://pontosmodel.com/manual/23001f1-page9.pdf
http://pontosmodel.com/manual/23001f1-page10.pdf

We started to ship some amounts of this set to our dealers so you can contact to the dealer who you've got from. Or you can contact us directly by email help@pontosmodel.com with your shippng information.
We've already shipped this set to individual customers who have already contacted us.
Generally it takes 7-10days to get after shipping from us. But at some times it may take some weeks more.
Hope this set can be received before starting to use these parts on your work.

And more now we are preparing "Advanced plus set" as we've planned.
At this APS, this Correction PE contents will be included too.
So who would get APS need not get this correction set. Of course any time you can ask Correction set as we've prepared enough quantity of this correction set on our shelves.

Anyway we are very sorry that there are some critical errors or missing in our PE parts and instruction.

Thank you and Regards,
Keumho Kim

Hi,
I am satisfied and I look forward for my kit. Seeing your efforts, I believe that soon the small difficulty will be overcome. It would be great if you prepare small sets, that do not duplicate parts from existing sets. For example, an additional deck details would be available without the same deck. If this is of course possible.

Thank you,
Antanas

Don't know if it has been reported but I think I found another error. Part 149 is indicated twice as 2 different parts on Page 1. It's obvious which one is correct, but then what is the correct part number for the other 149?

Since I'm working on this set, is it ok to keep posting questions regarding part I.D. and location questions?
There is no location for part 167 with BRASS 52.

Leadman's Platform is is No.112 not 149. (we added this on the correction #9 page

Wecome back again your Bismarck working process.

These light ramp parts are located on the main Main Top mast of page#7.

And All Brass parts for Catapult should be changed to
24->25
25->26
26->27
27->28
28->29
29->30

These will be added on the next coming Correction manual #11
And we will reshow Mast and some other areas more clearly on #11 too.

Thank you

Thanks Mr. Kim. Actually I'm going through the entire documents and locating every single part and location in order to be able to proceed with the model. I've been at it for hours and I'm not even up to part 200! This is not fun, but necessary. I hope future documentation will not require this. Looking forward to the corrected parts. Did they ship yesterday? Thanks.

Well we've already have some feedbacks from some customers and now we are checking and checking again.
So I think you can start your work without checking but we thank to you for your checking again.
As for the instruction we have done our best always but every time we have some faults.

And we would discontinue in selling this Basic set in near future and will sell only Advanced set with quite raised price.
So our customers who have already had this basic set will have much profit in their payment.

Advanced set also will have same Instruction manual already printed as Basic set.

Thank you

Mr. Kim,
Sometime back you said: "Don't worry about the Basic set buying. contents of Basic set and Advanced set have not duplicated.
And you can get the Advanced kit separately."
Does this mean there will be no set that will NOT have all the parts the Basic kit has? You will now bundle both, but those of us that have purchased the basic set will no longer be able to just purchase an "advanced" addition?

Yep don't worry Our Basic set owners!
Current plan is
21001F1 "Advanced Plus Set"
27001F1 "Advanced Set"

23001F1 "Basic set" (will be discontinued)
22001F1 "Basic set (no woodendeck) (will be discontinued)

23001F1 owner can buy just 21001F1 for Full Advanced set.
So 27001F1 = 23001F1+21001F1

And just after 21001F1 released, we will discontinue to supply 23001F1 and 22001F1

27001F1 will be cost much more than (23001F1+21001F1)

So 23001F1 owners will have some more profit in the payment budget though paid shipping cost two times.

Thank you
Kim

I'm buying this set. It's been awhile since I have seen such amazing after-market support by any company for its product. Good job Kim!

I think most hobbyists would not mind paying a little more for clear, large format instructions. I sometimes think manufacturers under-estimate the importance of this aspect of their sets to the hobbyist. The time spent dealing with poor instructions can be enormous, frustrating and non-productive. If it costs an extra $4 per set for premier instructions, that works out to be about one cent per hour for me. I'd certainly pay that ...and be thankful!

The photography of your product in this thread is outstanding. I am MOST impressed, however, by your personal responsiveness to your end-user input such as on this forum...its a very smart business protocol. Continued success.

Thank you Tim,

Maybe this protocol can't be done by NASA.

Every time we check and check but every time comes with faults. So we should check, check, check and check.

Perhaps you should just send your beta set to a couple of the builders here and see what they have to do and say? :woo_hoo:

They already are, except we all have to pay for the beta set and do the work for free. They should at least give those of us that are busting our butts to correct errors free merchandise.

I have another question regarding the set.
In the set there is no mention for model part number G14 and in the pictures of the finished model after applying the Pontos set, that part seems to be missing. According to my Anatomy of the Bismarck, there are 2 platforms on that part of the funnel. Did Pontos just not include any PE for the top platform? I have included photos of the area in question.

All our stuff were passed through Our beta testers. problem is Beta testers missed some.
So your bought item is formal retail product not beta product.

Anyway the platform is linked with Bridge.
So please refer < Fore mast Platform> on mid page 8

As stated, there is no mention of said platform. I got the picture I sent you from mid page 8. Nothing is there. So I was asking if you did not include any PE for that upper platform like you did for the bottom one. There seems to be something there, but no part numbers.

Are you refering to the platform that connects the rear if the forward superstructure to the funnel? If so it is included. I've just finished building this section and there definitely are two platforms there.
